The Global Climate Strike on September 20 will be the biggest action of our movement to date. More than 1,000 events across 117 countries have been planned for the week of 9/20-9/27. In NYC there will be educational events, rallies, forums, and much more detailed below.

From the Amazon’s blazing fires to the 70,000 made homeless by Dorian in the Bahamas, the climate crisis is bearing down. But people are waking up, breaking through the barriers of fear and denial to take action.

350.org has long been at the center of these fights. Now, let’s stand together with people around the globe as we demand the end of fossil fuels, a just transition to a renewable economy, and accountability from the corporate polluters most responsible for this crisis.

Breaking News! The Dept. of Education has granted amnesty to all of its 1.1 million students to attend the strike if they have a note from their parents. Younger students will be able to leave school with a parent. Share the news to make sure the parents you know are aware!

Here’s what you can do now:

If you haven’t already, RSVP for the New York City Climate Strike.

Build Buzz! Speak out on social media and encourage everyone you know to turn out on 9/20: Hashtags include: #ClimateStrike, #Climate, and #Fridaysforfuture. Tell others why you are striking, and there's a ton of content and videos you can share from groups like Fridays For Future NYC and Future Coalition and 350.org and of course 350Brooklyn.
