I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for Election Day 2020 for a long, long time.

Over the last four years, we’ve watched Donald Trump violate and destroy every single Democratic principle upon which our nation was founded: He conspired with foreign governments; locked children in cages; emboldened white supremacists; incited violence against journalists; cozied up to authoritarian leaders; endangered our troops; vilified science; used the office of the presidency to enrich himself; gutted the federal workforce; accelerated climate change; eliminated protections for minorities, immigrants, workers, LGBTQ+ Americans, disabled Americans, and our most vulnerable communities; and left hundreds of thousands for dead with his failed COVID-19 response.

I could go on -- but the point is, despite our best efforts in the House to hold Donald Trump accountable for his failures, only the American people can decide whether or not this president, and the Republicans who enable him, deserve to be re-elected. And with just one week to go until Election Day -- the day that we’ve all spent years working towards -- we can’t hold anything back. The actions that we take over these next seven days will determine the outcome of this election, and I need you to fight with everything you’ve got. Are you with me?
