John,

Earlier this month, we told you how we succeeded in our case on behalf of Mi Familia Vota and the Arizona Coalition for Change to extend the voter registration deadline in Arizona. *Thanks to this court victory and the ten day extension of the voter registration deadline, 35,000 more voters in Arizona registered to vote and will be able to participate in the upcoming November election.*

*This is a huge victory for our democracy.* This year, organizations that register citizens to vote were effectively prevented from registering voters from March 30, 2020, when Arizona imposed a stay-at-home order and other restrictions on day-to-day interactions in order to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, to the middle of August when those restrictions were lifted. As a result, new voter registration had been far lower than in previous years. Our court victory extending the voter registration deadline in the midst of this pandemic ensured that tens of thousands of more voters could get registered in time to vote in the November election.

We will continue to do everything possible to ensure that every American has a voice in this democracy.

In solidarity,
