Yesterday, Diane earned the endorsement of the Aspen Daily News. We are proud to add them to the long list of endorsers, but what was most shocking about the article were the quotes from far-right Boebert.

The editorial board asked Boebert about policies and issues only to find her understanding “superficial.” But what’s worse was what she said about the 545 detained immigrant children whose parents the Trump administration cannot locate.

She likened this failure by the Trump administration to a parking ticket she received, saying:

“When I didn’t pay my $100 traffic ticket, I was separated from my kids for about an hour until I got it taken care of…”

These are children that have spent months in detainment without their parents. Many fled violence in their home countries, don’t speak English, and all of them are virtually orphaned because of the Trump administrations’ failures.

And Boebert either thinks this is all a joke or just doesn’t care.

Comments like these further disqualify Boebert -- who is already the most inexperienced, dangerous candidate running for Congress -- and shows how crucial it is that we beat her in one week.

Please, chip in whatever you can today and help us elect a thoughtful candidate, not one who “defaults to scripted partisan talking points when pushed beyond (her) policy comfort levels.”
