In just one week, we can begin the process of repairing our democracy. And we cannot take that opportunity for granted, John.

If I learned anything from working in the Obama administration for six years, it’s this: To make the real, lasting change our country so desperately deserves, we must build on our Democratic House majority, take back the Senate, win state legislatures and governorships, and win the White House this year. Full stop.

Winning up and down the ticket is going to require all of us. Over the next week, Democrats must empower and mobilize millions of voters nationwide because that is simply the only way we can win at this stage of the race. And we must dig deep and support those efforts with all we have.

So, if you’re able, please pitch in $7 to the DNC ahead of Saturday’s final critical deadline. We cannot afford to fall short of our goals at this stage of the race -- the stakes are simply too high.

Democrats are trying to win everywhere in just one week. Trust me, that is no easy task, John. To do that, we’re going to need to create a groundswell of grassroots support like never before -- not just for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s campaign, but for Democrats running up and down the ballot nationwide.

The Democratic National Committee is the only organization tasked with winning seats from the school board to the Oval Office. With only one week left in this election -- and four days until the DNC’s final deadline of this cycle -- I have to ask:
