Team, we did it. We recently ran the numbers, and we outraised and outspent Roger Williams in the first half of October!
Here's why this is such a big deal: Our campaign doesn't take a dime of PAC money, unlike our opponent. Instead, it's powered entirely by individual contributions from people like you — grocery store clerks, students, teachers, musicians, retirees, and so many other people who believe in our message and our ability to bring real representation to this seat.
But we can't get complacent: Super PACs have already thrown hundreds of thousands of dollars into the race on behalf of Roger Williams. He even cut a $50,000 check to his own campaign — a worrying sign for his campaign that could get the super PACs to spend more.
We're not going to let the special interests win a week from today. Will you rush a donation of $5 or more toward our $500,000 end-of-month goal to help us get out the vote and make October our biggest month yet?
Unlike our opponent, Julie does not have the advantage of personal wealth or big checks from corporate donors, which is why we turn to you — our grassroots supporters. Because Julie feels it's the only way to ensure that those she wants to represent and serve know that she is not in anyone's pocket.
Even though we've never had the financial advantage in this race, we're proving otherwise — because we're running an honest, people-powered campaign on the issues that matter most to Americans — Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and an economy that actually works for working families.
Momentum is on our side. But there's still a lot of work to do — early voting continues through Friday, after which we’ll turn our focus to getting as many Texans as possible to the polls on Election Day. So I have to ask one more time:
7 DAYS!!!
