Dear John,
Wherever you go, you cannot avoid the 'B' word. The whole world is talking about Brexit.
I have become increasingly frustrated at those in Parliament who are trying to wreck Brexit and deny the will of the British people. As you know, I campaigned to remain, but have voted the way my constituents voted - to leave.
Last week in Parliament I voted against taking no deal off the table, and I will vote for no deal if the Prime Minister is unable to get a deal. Taking no deal off the table severely ties the PM's hands and makes getting a deal less likely.
In Parliament, despite being able to pass Jeremy Corbyn's Surrender Bill in just one day, remain MPs tried to do everything they could to prevent the house from being suspended or "prorogued". We were forced to sit till 2 am to to get it through. You can watch my video talking about this below.
I am backing Boris 100%. Jeremy Corbyn and Labour now have the laughable policy of waiting to go back to Brussels, negotiating a deal, coming back, calling referendum and campaigning against their own deal.
You really could not make it up.
I have been inundated with messages of support for my position. Burton and Uttoxeter voted 63% to leave, and from the response I have received so far, not only has that gone up, even people who voted remain now just wanted to get on with it.
You can be sure I will be backing Boris, voting for us to leave on 31st October. Deal or no deal.
Best wishes,
Andrew Griffiths
Member of Parliament for Burton and Uttoxeter
