Today is a sad day for American democracy.

Instead of working overtime to pass a coronavirus relief package that millions of Americans and small businesses need, Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the GOP instead forced through an inexperienced and extremist new Supreme Court Justice that in one of her first acts is going to vote to strike down the ACA.

We have to hold them accountable for this blatant abuse of power.

Look, John, the GOP knows they are in big trouble with voters. Why else do you think Lindsey skipped the debates to make sure he filled the Supreme Court vacancy? He knows they don’t have the policies to convince voters to elect him.

Mitch McConnell is even bragging about it:

“A lot of what we’ve done over the last four years will be undone sooner or later by the next election...They won’t be able to do much about [Amy Coney Barrett] for a long time to come.”

They’ve shown us what their priorities are. It’s dismantling healthcare, it’s attacking LGTBQ rights, and it’s ignoring the last wishes of a respected Supreme Court Justice.

And it’s confirming a new justice after more than 58 million people have already voted and said DO NOT CONFIRM A NEW JUSTICE BEFORE THE ELECTION.
