John, As Gil’s Finance Director, I can tell you firsthand: At the onset of the pandemic, our team switched immediately to a digital first approach. At no point in our programming did we even consider compromising the health and safety of folks in our community. The same clearly can’t be said of Gil’s opponent, Young Kim. John, as you can see below, Young Kim held a crowded, indoor, superspreader event YESTERDAY and with other California GOP candidates earlier this weekend. We’re disgusted by this blatant disregard for the gravity of the pandemic for personal gain -- and you should be too. It’s times like this that remind us of the imperative of electing Representatives who put people over party and community over contributions to Congress. John, that’s Gil. Make no mistake: Her superspreader fundraiser clearly goes against CDC guidelines and our public health professionals—a crowded, indoor event with no social distancing and no masks. There’s no clearer slap in the face to the millions of Americans directly impacted by coronavirus than this type of political stunt. And it shows, more clearly than ever before, who Young Kim is looking out for: herself, and herself alone.
