Hey team! I’m Ben’s finance director, so right off the bat I have to ask: Will you chip in to help us reach today’s daily fundraising target? We need to raise $7,500 today to stay on track! It’s so important we keep on top of these goals. First, we learned that for the first time in this election, we were outraised. And now Burgess Owens and his special interest backers are ramping up their campaign spending in a last-ditch effort to turn this race in their favor. In fact, just the other day, one of the largest DC-based super PACs added $250,000 in attack ads against Ben. It’s clear that Burgess’s outside backers think they can buy this seat for him. They’re making sure he has the funds to flood the airwaves in the last few days of this campaign, which means we need to work even harder to make sure we don’t fall behind.
