I am writing to you today to ask you to personally endorse Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for president and vice president of the United States.

But before I ask you to add your name, let me be explicitly clear: If Biden wins, we are going to do everything in our power to push his administration to pass a Green New Deal and ban fracking.

Here's the truth: Biden and Harris are not going to stand up to the fossil fuel industry without pressure from millions of people around the country.

It is going to take a massive, people-powered movement to pressure their administration at every turn. And together, we are building that movement.

Electing Biden is the first step to ending the age of fossil fuels and passing a Green New Deal. So I am asking:

The reality is that Biden's climate plan has come a long way since he began his presidential bid. It is our movement and climate activists around the country who have successfully pushed Biden to commit to ending fossil fuel subsidies and stopping future fossil fuel exports and infrastructure approvals.

Our movement has pushed Biden to commit to transition to 100 percent clean energy.

Our movement has pushed Biden to commit to making polluters pay by investigating and prosecuting fossil fuel polluters for their lies and knowing destruction.

Our movement has pushed Biden to commit to prioritizing federal investment in Black and Indigenous communities and communities of color.

And our movement is going to hold him accountable to his current climate plan and more.

But if we are going to create the transformational change we need to fight the climate crisis and take on the fossil fuel industry, we need an administration who will stand with us in that fight:
