"It’s Awesome, Baby!” An Evening with Dick Vitale

Community conversation at the Palladium Theater on Sept. 17

If you've ever watched a college basketball game, you've probably enjoyed the exuberant commentary of legendary sportscaster Dick Vitale.

Dickie V. has been the face of ESPN college basketball since he called the network's first major game more than 38 years ago. He's since called over 1,000 games, invented a new vocabulary with Vitale-isms like “PTP’er” (prime-time player) and “M & M’er” (a mismatch), and been inducted into two Halls of Fame.

Join me at the Palladium on Tuesday, Sept. 17 for a lively conversation with the Hall-of-Famer about sports journalism, those Vitale-isms and what it means to be “living the American dream.”
