Folks,
Today the Senate is voting to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to be the next justice of the US Supreme Court.
With her confirmation, state legislatures will become even more important in the fight to defend our rights –– especially our access to health care.
A strong Democratic majority in the state Senate means we will have the power to protect your health care, even as the GOP attempts to strip it away.
That’s why it is absolutely crucial that we get out the vote over these next 8 days to ensure we protect and build our majority. Click here to learn more about where, when, and how to vote in the November 3rd Election.
More than 5.4 million Americans have already lost their health insurance since the start of COVID-19 –– the worst public health crisis in generations.
Still, national Republicans are moving forward with yet another attempt to dismantle the Affordable Care Act –– and Barrett could now be the deciding vote if this case makes it all the way to the Supreme Court.
We must take action NOW to ensure we have the right leaders in place to ensure every Washingtonian’s right to affordable health care is protected.
The 2020 election ends in 8 short days. Don’t wait: make a plan to vote TODAY.
If you’ve already filled out and returned your ballot, please reach out to three friends or family members to make sure they are getting out the vote too.
Thank you for being a voter.
— Everyone at the Washington Senate Democrats
