The Vargas Tragedy was a combination of landslides and floods that occurred on the Caribbean coast of Venezuela back in December 1999. It left behind a lot of missing, wounded, and dead people still unknown to this day.

In this article, Jose explains how this tragedy motivated him to start preparing. He also explains that there are lessons we all can learn from events like this.
