[[link removed]]Defender,

We’ve learned that terrible news is coming for the gray wolves you and I love –
and we need your help to save them!

Later this week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is expected to announce that they’re
officially stripping federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) protections from gray
wolves across the lower 48 states.

This move will be premature and reckless – and it could cost countless wolves
their lives. We’ll have to act quickly to keep them safe!

Pitch in to fight back for wolves in court and in communities across the
country. Your gift will help keep wolves and other wildlife here for future
generations!

The FWS is betraying gray wolves to the mercy of anti-wolf states. We’ve already
seen what that means for wolves in places like Idaho, where in a one-year period
over 500 wolves were brutally shot, poisoned or trapped, including dozens of
wolf pups.

We can’t let wolves go back to being exterminated like vermin in their own
habitat. We need your help to fight back in court to keep these wolves federally
protected!

Gray wolves have never been in greater danger. Please make your emergency
donation to protect wolves and other wildlife, while the need is so urgent!

Defenders isn’t going to give up on the dream of wolf recovery. If the FWS tries
to delist gray wolves in the lower 48 states, we’ll be taking them to court.
Will you lend your support to help make sure we win?

Thank you for all you do to keep wildlife safe. As the animals we love face the
greatest threats we’ve ever seen, we’re grateful to have you with us.
