Register Now: BART Candidate Forum

BART Directors shape the future of the Bay Area’s largest regional transit service. BART District 9, which represents the central part of San Francisco from Balboa Park - Montgomery Stations, is one of two contested races in San Francisco this year.

BART is facing particularly tough times, as it depends even more heavily than Muni on fare income in order to operate. With ridership at about 12% of pre-COVID levels, there are difficult decisions to make. In addition, BART has been wrestling with issues of policing, fare policy, and attracting ridership.

Come hear directly from the candidates about their priorities and vision, and submit your own questions. (Candidates Michael Petrelis and David Wei Wen Young withdrew from this event.)

Measure RR needs 66% of the vote to pass - we need your help to save Caltrain!

Measure RR will make sure Caltrain, a crucial part of our regional transit network, doesn't get shut down. Measure RR will make it possible for Caltrain to roll out the equity plans for service and fares that have been in the works for a few years. To get it passed, we need to reach as many voters as possible.

Join us this Thursday for a phone bank, or take a walk with us (socially distant, with masks on!) on Saturday or Sunday to get flyers in the hands of people who haven't voted yet.

We can't do this without you!
