Amy Coney Barrett is set to be confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States today.

What does this mean for us? We can expect everything from our reproductive rights to our voting rights to come under fire with Barrett on the Supreme Court. While facing questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee, she declined to share if she believes voter discrimination still exists in America, just as she held her tongue on a number of other contentious topics, like Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power. But we know how to read into her silence: Everything is on the chopping block.

With Barrett in the mix, SCOTUS will have a 6-3 conservative majority -- but that doesn’t mean progressives don’t have a shot at taking control in other ways this year. Biden is still leaps and bounds ahead of Trump in the national polls, all evidence is pointing to Democrats expanding their reach in the House, and FiveThirtyEight is even suggesting we could easily turn the Senate blue.

But that future will only come if Democrats show up and vote like they’ve never done before -- if the election is anything other than a landslide victory for Biden, Trump WILL cry foul on the results. And since Barrett has refused to recuse herself from ruling in the case of a contested election, we can infer that Trump is banking on her loyalty to keep him in power.

We simply cannot let that happen. When Democrats Turn Out is working around the clock to mobilize voters nationwide so that Biden wins in overwhelming numbers -- but we’re running low on funds. If we don’t raise another $3,028 by midnight, we can’t launch the final phase of our voter mobilization efforts in battleground states, where the race results could very well determine the outcome of the entire election.
