John— The Senate is voting today on whether to confirm Amy Barrett to the Supreme Court. Everything is on the line and it’s urgent that before the vote begins, your senators hear from you one more time. The Supreme Court is fundamentally OUR Court, and our voices must be heard:
Call your senators and demand they vote NO on Barrett’s confirmation right now. [[link removed]]
Barrett’s dangerous beliefs are more extreme than she — and Senate Republicans who are ramming her confirmation through against the will of the people — are willing to admit. In response to written questions from senators following her hearing, she flat out refused to answer whether states could make getting an abortion a FELONY if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
And on top of that, she refused to say whether states could punish people who get an abortion with the death penalty.
So much rests on our resistance to this illegitimate process and unfit nominee. Please, take action today.
Call your senator. Demand they vote no on Amy Barrett. [[link removed]]

John—
Yesterday, Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to send Amy Barrett's nomination to the full Senate — meaning that a vote on her confirmation will probably be on Monday. And while Senate Democrats took a strong stance by boycotting yesterday’s committee vote, Republicans are still rushing ahead with this sham nomination.
There’s no time to waste. Being silent is not an option. Click here to tell your senators they must vote no on confirmation. [[link removed]]
When Barrett testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee last week and in her written responses to Senators’ questions, she refused to answer basic questions about where she stands on our fundamental freedoms and values — a lot of them:
• Does she agree with the Supreme Court's decisions recognizing the right to use birth control? No answer.
• Is Roe v. Wade settled precedent? No answer.
• If Roe is overturned, could a state pass a law making abortion a felony or a capital crime, subjecting people seeking abortion care to the death penalty? No answer.
• If Roe is overturned, could a state pass a law making it a felony to use birth control? No answer.
• If Roe is overturned, could a state ban in vitro fertilization? No answer.
• Is the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional? No answer.
• Should access to reproductive healthcare depend on what state you live in? No answer.
• Do states have a responsibility to ensure access to the ballot amidst a pandemic? No answer.
• Is it wrong to separate children from their parents to deter migration? No answer.
• Do communities of color have a harder time accessing the ballot? No answer.
• Is it appropriate for the president to encourage voter fraud or intimidation? No answer.
• Can states pass laws discriminating against LGBTQ people? No answer.
• Should transgender students be protected against discrimination? No answer.
• Does the Constitution guarantee citizenship for people born in the United States? No answer.
• Is climate change real? No answer.
Barrett’s silence is telling. But ours isn’t an option.
Call your senators now and demand they vote NO on Barrett’s confirmation. This illegitimate, sham process is a threat to us all — and it could determine the fundamental moral future of our nation. [[link removed]]
