I am still elated at what we did for Sheila Bynum-Coleman. Thank you.

But I also want to share with you what I believe Democrats, independents, and all of us need to do to change Virginia and this country: focus on fundraising and door knocking on the races that are hard, not just the ones that are easy. And focus on what we can control most, not just the news about North Carolina's Congressional race (NC-09) and the debates.

We have a few hosts who have already stepped up, big time: Senator Barbara Favola, Delegate Patrick Hope, and Herschel Kanter. We need others and we need you. Co-host, or help by joining us by purchasing a ticket or sponsor a Young Democrat. Wendy's self-funded opponent will not support background checks, the ERA, or our shared commitment to fight climate change. She will.
What about North Carolina's 9th and the Debates?
Both events this week showed us yet again that nothing is inevitable. I believe nothing can distract us from the next 52 days. Next year, I will not be asking you to donate like this: the Presidential election will have plenty of money. This is the moment when we can make the biggest difference. We must chip in now and do all we can so that Wendy has the resources she needs to win.
