Friend,

Yesterday I joined fellow Kansans in Wichita to pray for this nation and the upcoming election.

During the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Benjamin Franklin said that “if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without [God’s] notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?”

The United States has faced major conflict and turmoil in our 244-year-history. Long before 2020, we’ve faced major health outbreaks, global wars, economic depressions, political scandals, and even a war with ourselves.

At the same time, we’ve also witnessed great blessings in our nation’s history – whether it’s been through advancements in technology and modern medicine, improving the quality of life for people in other parts of the world, exploring God’s creation of space, and the spread of freedom.

I believe that we have been able to overcome challenges and realize successes because of God’s providence and protection, the resilience of our people, and countless men and women praying daily.

With just nine days before the election, it’s just as important as ever to be praying for the United States of America, for our people, for our leaders, and for this upcoming election.

Too often, we put our faith in the political process, in government programs, or in politicians. We seek truth from CNN, MSNBC or Fox News.

Instead, we need to put our faith in Almighty God, and seek His truth for our lives.

Your prayers for this nation, and for elected officials like me and my family, are felt – and they make a difference.

Let’s continue praying for healing for our land and revival in our nation.

Sincerely,

Rep. Ron Estes
