John,
In a recent interview on Fox 2 News, Cori’s Republican opponent attacked us because we’re going to fight to spend more on health care and education, not the military industrial complex. And those attacks are bringing some of his allies out of the woodworks.
Shortly after airing, the President of the St. Louis Proud Boys tweeted his support of our Republican opponent and his right-wing talking points. Here’s why that’s incredibly concerning:
The Proud Boys are a far-right, neo-fascist organization engaged in various acts of political violence across the country. But our opponent doesn’t care – he’s openly embracing their support.

This fight is larger than just our fight to elect Cori and win the people’s seat. Across the country, groups like the Proud Boys are openly flirting with political intimidation and violence. If candidates running under their banner do well, it’s a reason for them to continue that behavior.
That’s why we’re ramping up our get-out-the-vote efforts and progressive advocacy – because we need to send a message that support for racist, xenophobic, misogynist, and hate-fueled groups like the Proud Boys don’t belong in Missouri’s 1st, or anywhere else.
Thanks for your help,
Team Cori
