With recent polling showing me TIED with former Republican Congressman Scott Taylor, I need you to stand with me John.
I'll put my record up against Scott's any day. In just my first year in Washington, I had more bills signed into law than Scott did in his entire career as a congressman, and I was ranked the 3rd most effective member of the House.
But unfortunately, Scott and his supporters have shown that they're not interested in a fair fight. In 2018, his campaign made national headlines when multiple members of his team resorted to election fraud in an illegal effort to sabotage my campaign.
We overcame the odds then, but I won with just 51.05% of the vote. We need all hands on deck if we're going to hold this seat this second time around -- chip in to my campaign's General Election Fund (all donations will be DOUBLED until midnight tonight)!

Unlike Scott, I've never tried to cheat in order to win. As a 20-year Navy veteran who served as Commander of a combat-ready unit of 400+ soldiers, I know that you can't fake leadership.
When people are counting on you to deliver, you can't hide behind bravado and personal attacks. You sink or swim based on the strength of your actions and your character.
That's why I ran to unseat Scott Taylor in the first place, because Coastal Virginians weren't getting the independent, honest representation we deserve. Time and time again, Scott used his power in Washington to help himself and his wealthy donors, not the hard-working families he was supposed to represent.
I'm proud of the work I've done in Congress to protect our health care, tackle the climate crisis, make sure our veterans receive the benefits they've earned, and hold Donald Trump and his administration accountable to the American people. I'm counting on individual supporters like you to help me stay strong in this toss-up race -- will you chip in to keep Virginia's 2nd District BLUE?
