Friends — I’ll make this quick. Donald Trump and my opponent just attacked me at their rally in Arizona this week. They’re desperate and will say anything to try to win Arizona.

We don’t know what else they’ll say before Election Day, but here’s what I know: Before I joined the Navy, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution.

As a senator, I’ll take that oath again and be an independent voice for Arizona and the country.

I think that's what we need right now: senators who will do what’s right — not what’s politically expedient or what will score political points.

It’s clear this country needs new independent leadership.
