WLO: October Wildlife News Curated Just For You

John,

Healthy habitats and healthy communities go hand-in-hand. But for too long, many communities of color and low-wealth families have not had equal access to clean air and water, safe outdoor spaces, or protections from hazardous waste.

The National Wildlife Federation and partners hosted a National Townhall on Environmental Justice and Frontline Communities to hear from local activists and elected leaders from 26 states to elevate the concerns of their communities to a national stage. If you missed part of the livestream or were unable to attend, you can still view the entire Townhall by reading the blog below or clicking here.

And as you also explore stories about frontline communities fighting climate change, ways we’re adapting to environmental education at home, and conservation news from across the country, know that your support for wildlife and conserving our precious natural resources fuels and inspires our work daily.

Towards a healthier future for all,

Mustafa Santiago Ali
Vice President of Environmental Justice, Climate, and Community Revitalization
