Nate Cohn is the top election analyst at the New York Times . He oversaw polling in 2018 that predicted the results of dozens of tossup seats. Now he’s sounding the alarm that Pennsylvania is, hands-down, the most important state in the 2020 election.

The polls have Joe Biden up in Pennsylvania by about as much as Hillary Clinton was up in 2016. More concerningly, they also have Biden behind in Northeastern Pennsylvania — a critical swing region in the state. We can’t be complacent. Not when the most important state to determining the presidency is on the line.
