This November will be a turning point for our country. This is finally our chance to usher in a new era of American politics, one that’s defined by unity and belonging — not by cruelty and division.

But these past four years have shown us why that is impossible with Donald Trump in the White House and Mitch McConnell leading the Senate.

That’s why I am doing everything I can to defeat Donald Trump and flip the Senate — and it’s also why I am supporting organizations on the frontlines of this fight, like VoteVets.

For over a year, VoteVets has supported several Democratic challengers and veterans in their Senate races — and I am proud to be supporting them as well.

We may call different parts of the United States home, but we all share something: A love of community, a commitment to service, and an unwavering belief in the promise of this country.

I’m confident they will usher in the kind of leadership our nation needs, and will work toward building a nation where neighbors look out for one another and take care of each other. But they are facing an onslaught of outside spending and right-wing attacks — it’s going to take all of us to make sure they can win.
