Biden’s been ahead of Trump in the national polls for a while now -- but his lead in key battleground states is beginning to narrow. In Pennsylvania alone his lead has dropped from 7 to 4 points, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released last week.
This is cause for alarm. Trump is gaining on Biden with only 9 days left until Election Day, and there are still a long list of possible surprises -- like Trump announcing a COVID vaccine or a potential change in jobs numbers -- that could boost the president’s odds even further.
We need to drum up enthusiasm for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and we need to do it now -- before these poll numbers get any worse.
