John,

I grew up in North Texas. My mom was a single mother who was a public school teacher, but North Texas provided me with the opportunities I needed to become successful in college and football, where I eventually made it into the NFL, then through law school, where I became a civil rights lawyer and fought for voting rights. I served in the Obama Administration and now, I serve my home in the 32nd District.

I know my story is special, but I ran for Congress to make sure that every North Texan could live their version of the American Dream just like I did.

I’ve spent my time as your representative doing everything I can to help North Texas families. I’ve fought for health care access, a fairer economy, for good jobs and an education system that doesn’t leave anyone behind.

As I think about the final few days of this campaign, I know I have a lot of fight left in me. For my wife, for my family, for all the families in our community: I promise to keep fighting for what’s right.

And as long as I have you by my side -- as long as we’re both standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight for that better world, I know we’ll win.

We have nine days left of this campaign, John.

Let’s make each day count.
