Jeez -- this is massive news

Friend — NBC Montana/Strategies 360 is reporting that among likely voters in Montana, Dirty Dozen target Steve Daines is polling at 48%. His environmental challenger — Steve Bullock — is at 47%.

And 5% is still undecided. This is huge — we need to be reaching out to every environmental voter right now. If the election were held today, we'd lose — but we still have a short window to turn this around.

Please, please, please — this is a winnable race that could decide control of the Senate. Donate now to help turn out every environmental voter — every dollar is being triple matched, and even $3 is enough to make a difference »

Friend — this is important — we may have a shot at swinging the Montana Senate race. Pollsters are now putting this race as a toss-up — it could very easily decide control of the Senate.

Here's the situation: Senator Steve Daines — one of our Dirty Dozen targets — is being challenged by Steve Bullock, Montana's Governor and an environmental champion.

Montana is usually considered a red state, but it's also an environmental one. That's where Daines screwed up — he cast the deciding vote on an amendment that would open the door to selling off public lands in Montana to private interests for drilling, mining, and other development.

The vote is incredibly unpopular in Montana — and we're pushing hard to make sure voters know about it.

The problem is that we're almost out of time. We've already run state-wide TV ads hammering Daines on his vote. Now, in the final days of the election — we're making a last push to turn out every last environmental voter in the state.

We're trying to raise $20,000 by the end of the day to scale up. A group of donors even put together a triple-match pool to help get us there. We just need you:

The best thing you can do right now is make an emergency donation to LCV Victory Fund. Every donation will be triple matched — even $3 is enough to make a difference »

When it comes to elections, Montana is an unusual state. It's a state that Trump won by 20 points in 2016, but reelected Jon Tester — a Democrat, and an environmental champion — in 2018.

Tester's election was a nail-biter. He won because the environmental movement turned out in a major way. We went in big on Montana, and it made the difference.

Friend — we can pull it off again, I promise — but this is a really tough call. Without more resources, scaling up turnout operations would mean pulling out of other tight Senate races, and right now, we're in the middle of major GOTV efforts in Maine, North Carolina, Arizona, Iowa, South Carolina and Michigan. We can't go big in Montana if it'd mean losing a shot at beating Lindsey Graham or Susan Collins.

Every bit of research we have is telling us the environmental movement is going to decide this Montana Senate seat. If we pull this off — it's almost a guarantee we flip control of the Senate and take Mitch McConnell out of the leadership spot.

But we can't do it if it means giving up on these other swing states.

Daines has rubber-stamped Trump's agenda for the past four years. He has approved racist, anti-environment policies all the way through. He has cast vote after vote to undermine racial and environmental justice in this country.

So we're asking — can you pitch in today? This is the final stretch:

Please, help reach the $20,000 goal — every dollar will be tripled. Click here to donate to LCV Victory Fund — even $3 can make a difference »

Thank you for everything you do — we can do this.
