** About the Global Week to Act4SDGs
------------------------------------------------------------

Our world and our future are under threat from persistent poverty, growing inequality, and the climate crisis. We’ve made some progress but nowhere near enough to deliver on the promises made by UN member states in 2015 to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and create a future of peace and prosperity on a thriving planet, with no-one left behind. We have to accelerate and rejuvenate efforts if we are to achieve these Goals.

TheGlobal Week to Act for SDGs ([link removed]) is an annual call to action for individuals and organisations across the world to accelerate action for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs - also known as Global Goals).

The ([link removed]) Global Week to Act for SDGs rallies public support for the Sustainable Development Goals throughout the world while world leaders are meeting at the UN Headquarters for five milestone UN Summits: the Climate Action Summit, the UN High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage, the first-ever SDG Summit after the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the High-Level Dialogue on Financing for Development and the SAMOA Path-way Midterm Review.

This September, from the 20th to the 30th, we’ll unite for the largest Global Week to Act4SDGs ever to drive action in solidarity with citizens across the globe including youth groups through Fridays for Future and youth-led global climate strikes, and civil society organizations through the #StandTogetherNow campaign.

The Global Week to #Act4SDGs will connect activations taking place in thousands of cities and communities across the globe with world-leaders gathered in New York, calling for acceleration on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Everyone is invited to join! From 20th to 30th September, thousands of youth groups, schools, universities, local governments, civil society’s networks and organizations, foundations, UN agencies, businesses, and individuals in all world regions are mobilizing for SDG Actions in their communities. Organise an action, activate your network, or see the actions taking place near you, and join the global movement taking action for the Sustainable Development Goals.
