Join The Las Vegas National Lawyers Guild Today - Oct 24th at 2pm
Hello Friend,

Since the horrific murder of George Floyd on May 25th, 2020, we have seen
uprisings and protests across the nation. The response to Mr. Floyd’s
murder has shown us that we urgently need systemic change in our criminal
justice system. People have been taking to the streets to amplify the
message that Black Lives Matter and police need to be held accountable.

The National Lawyers Guild has created this important conversation around
policing in our communities, which also includes a short history lesson on
the militarization of police. These two topics are vital to understanding
how we move forward in the wake of so many police shootings that tear
families apart.

As we face more conversations around police violence, gun violence, and
how that impacts communities of color, it is crucial that we stay
open-minded and willing to learn. This teach-in provides a great
opportunity for folks to learn about the deep rooted issues facing us with
respect to violence committed by law enforcement. The National Lawyers
Guild will bring first-hand experience and knowledge to guide us in
discovering solutions. This event is free and open to all.

Make sure you register soon so you can learn more about policing in our
communities. This knowledge will help you understand how over-policing
happens, what we can do about it, and where we go from here.
