Political consultant James Carville recently took to MSNBC to share an encouraging prediction: Biden will win on election night, and the contest is “not going to be close.”
Carville better be right, because if Biden wins in anything other than a landslide, Republicans WILL try to steal the election. They’re already preparing to do so by ensuring a strong conservative majority on the Supreme Court and leaning into the doubt that Trump has manufactured about the integrity of the election.
But there’s one way we can stop the GOP from succeeding in their anti-democratic assault. According to Carville, “the only protection that Democrats have is they have to win by such a margin that makes it impossible for [the GOP] to overturn the election.” The good news is that Carville now thinks this is a likely possibility -- the bad news is that the risk of Democrats becoming complacent from this news just skyrocketed. That’s why we can’t relax until the votes are counted and we see Trump slinking out of the White House once and for all -- and it’s also why we’re reaching out to Democratic supporters now, to get a firm answer to a crucial question:
