in the Senate. 


During his time in Congress, No Show Gary Peters has repeatedly put his own
career ahead of the people of Michigan. A closer look at his record reveals
that he doesn’t even show up to work, let alone deliver results for our state.

* While in the House, No Show Gary skipped 84% of Small Business Committee
hearings instead of strengthening Michigan businesses and protecting workers
from a future pandemic.

* In the Senate, No Show Gary failed to show up to 89% of committee hearings
for the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, the committee where he
pledged to “hold China accountable” in 2015.

* No Show Gary has been invisible during our country’s COVID-19 response —
despite being the ranking member on the Senate Homeland Security Committee. He
ignored reports of America’s unpreparedness for a global pandemic for years and
did nothing to fix the problem. 
His biggest accomplishment while in office? 


Doubling his personal wealth.

stations that hosted the 2018 Governor Debates. 


He’s declined debates hosted by WOOD TV in Grand Rapids, WDIV in Detroit, WXYZ
in Detroit, WSYM in Lansing, and WXMI in Grand Rapids.


Why? Because he wants to hide his track record of failures from the people of
Michigan. 


He’s depriving Michigan voters of the chance to see John challenge him on the
debate stage because he’s afraid of standing on his record.
