Friend,
If you’ve been keeping up with the
latest polling, then you know that Democrats have a real shot at
flipping several of North Carolina’s Republican-held congressional
seats this year. I’ve already written to you about Kathy Manning and
Deborah Ross, and today, I’d like to share more about another
impressive female candidate, Patricia Timmons-Goodson, who can turn
NC-08 blue.
Pat’s resume includes serving on the U.S.
Commission on Civil Rights, serving as the first Black woman on the
Supreme Court of North Carolina, and being nominated by President
Obama to the federal court, although her nomination was undeservedly
blocked by Senator McConnell and Senator Richard Burr. But throughout
her life, Pat has broken down barriers -- and now, I’m
asking all of my supporters to chip in today so we can elect the first
female representative from NC-08 in over 60 years. Will you donate
$200, $100, or $50 and help send Pat to
Washington?
HELP ELECT PAT
TODAY
Internal polls show Pat down by only
two points, with the Presidential and Senate races also virtually tied
in NC-08. So winning this district is about even more than flipping a
Congressional seat -- it could be the key to turning North Carolina
blue, since it’ll depend on engaging voters in Cumberland County, a
reliably Democratic area that doesn’t usually see high
turnout.
Early
voting has already begun in North Carolina, so every minute and every
donation counts. Will you rush in a contribution today to support Pat
and help flip NC-08 blue?
Best, Ted
