How am I celebrating? Thanks for asking! I’ll be masking up and bringing five friends with me to vote early in-person. I made a group chat, we discussed the issues, researched our ballot, found our polling place (which is not always the same for early voting vs. Election Day), and agreed on a time to go. The more you know.
And don't forget that you can do more than vote—we have to be proactive and directly responsible for the direction in which we want our democracy to move. If we want to move forward, we have to pull it forward each and every day. That means confirming that everyone in our network is voting, volunteering for a campaign or at your polling place, and being a good steward of accessible civic engagement.
We're in the final stretch and with your help, young voters are going to own this election.
Let's #YouthVote,

PS: Want to keep up the momentum? We have officially partnered with Young People For on the "Arrive With Five" campaign and pledge. Arrive With Five is a revamped mobilization tool that supports organizers in having difficult conversations around participation in elections. Take the pledge and receive tools to reframe the conversation around participation in elections to provide a clear picture of what’s at stake in the 2020 elections and beyond, break down how government functions at every level, and provide our communities with the necessary context so that they can make their own connections to how voting impacts the issues they care about.
