Hello, it’s Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

We’re entering the final phase of this election year. In just 10 days, we have the opportunity to win the era for our values and elect Democrats who share a better vision for the future. I support Mike Espy because he is a candidate who will restore leadership and decency to Mississippi. Mike is committed to fighting for long-overdue Medicaid expansion in Mississippi, increasing access to affordable health care, and creating more good-paying jobs to lift communities out of poverty.

People of faith have a choice in this election. If your religious values teach you to protect the marginalized, feed the hungry, and welcome the stranger, then Mike is your candidate. Mike says his campaign is guided by Matthew 25:35-40, which reads in part: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”

Mike has built his campaign one act of hope at a time. His campaign didn’t start with a big email list or a big bank account. But he has hope, humility, and respect for our American values. And with enough grassroots support, we can get Mike over the finish line and make history by electing him in 10 short days.
