Trump’s Proud Boys may already be doing his dirty work for him. They’ve been linked to cases of voter intimidation in key battleground states -- like in Alaska and Florida, where Democrats have received threatening emails to vote for Trump or face retribution.
“We are in possession of all your information,” the emails, signed by “officialproudboys[dot]com,” read. “You will vote for Trump on Election Day or we will come after you.”
These shocking threats -- now under FBI investigation, according to an NPR report -- are yet another despicable act of voter suppression, following Trump’s recruitment of 50,000 “poll watchers” nationwide meant to coerce voters (particularly voters of color) out of voting for Biden.
Trump won’t be able to suppress the vote if Democrats show up to the polls in droves and send in their ballots early and en masse. A win like that IS possible -- we saw it in the 2018 midterms.
But Trump and the GOP are working day and night to undermine the election however they can -- making baseless claims about Democrats “rigging” the election and attacking the USPS during a year when a record number of Americans are voting by mail. The California Republican Party has even admitted to placing more than 50 illegal ballot drop boxes throughout the state, which officials have said could lead to election fraud.
When Democrats Turn Out is committed to pouring everything we have into turning out voters on November 3 and making sure that the GOP’s undemocratic efforts are in vain -- but we’re running low on the funds we need to make that happen. We need to raise another $3,058 by MIDNIGHT in order to protect every citizen’s right to vote without intimidation or interference.
