Dear MoveOn member,

The news is sending shock waves through the political world: Democrats Steve Bullock in Montana and Theresa Greenfield in Iowa are statistically tied and may well be able to pull off huge upsets in their races to unseat pro-Trump Republican senators.1,2 But they need your help in this final push to victory.

Will you chip in $3 right now to help these Democratic underdogs win upsets in their Senate races, take the gavel from Mitch McConnell, and flip the Senate blue? 100% of your donation will be split between the two campaigns.

Governor Steve Bullock of Montana is a nationally recognized leader with a track record of standing up to special interests, while his Republican opponent has taken millions from pharmaceutical companies, the oil industry, and other corporate interests.3

Bullock is a champion for health care who expanded Medicaid to tens of thousands of Montanans and has kept rural hospitals funded. An experienced leader, Bullock won passage of Montana's own DISCLOSE Act to limit dark money in politics after the Supreme Court's tragic Citizens United decision.4

Donald Trump carried the state of Montana by over 20 points in 2016, but Bullock won his re-election campaign for governor with more than 50% of the vote the same day—and he has momentum now to win the Senate seat.

If we can help Steve Bullock and Theresa Greenfield win their respective Senate races in Montana and Iowa this year, Democrats will win control of the Senate, meaning they will set the agenda and can pass bold progressive legislation, starting with COVID relief. Soon, the Senate could consider everything from legislation to fight the climate crisis to reinstating the Voting Rights Act and reforming the courts.

Will you rush a $3 donation to Steve Bullock and Theresa Greenfield to help fight back as the GOP floods these races with money from their billionaire donors in a desperate attempt to save these failing Republican senators? 100% of your donation will be split between the Bullock and Greenfield campaigns in the final stretch.

Theresa Greenfield—who grew up on a farm in Iowa and learned firsthand the importance of Social Security, which helped her as a young widow—is running in a close race against unpopular GOP senator Joni Ernst.5 Greenfield wants to expand affordable health care, invest in public schools, and stop the influence of big corporate spending on elections, while Ernst voted to repeal Obamacare, confirm Betsy Devos, and pass Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy.6,7

Iowa's biggest newspaper, the Des Moines Register, endorsed Greenfield after Ernst's disastrous first term, and it noted that Greenfield called out "the importance of access to health care ... providing relief to those struggling from the pandemic, ending systemic racism, investing in community colleges, and bringing the country together."8

Mitch McConnell's Super PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund, which started October with more than $100 million in the bank—mostly from secret donors who gave $1 million or more—is pouring money into these races.9 Let's rain on their parade.

With your help, we can rush additional campaign support directly to Steve Bullock and Theresa Greenfield so they can run ads and mobilize voters in their states in these final, crucial days of the election. These races are so close that every cent truly can make the difference when it comes to winning control of the Senate so Democrats can expand health care, pass meaningful coronavirus relief, protect the climate, and so much more.

Thanks for all you do.
