Judge Amy Coney Barrett is poised to become the next Supreme Court Justice, and Heritage Action is keeping up the drumbeat to support her swift confirmation.

Right after the Senate Judiciary Committee reported Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the full Senate on Thursday, Heritage Action hosted a rally and press conference with a coalition of leading conservative groups and grassroots activists.

Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson delivered an address, followed by leaders from Judicial Crisis Network, Club for Growth, Tea Party Patriots, Americans for Prosperity, Concerned Women for America, and Susan B. Anthony List. If you missed the live stream of the event on Thursday, you can watch the full video here!

The full Senate will now consider Judge Barrett’s confirmation with debate today, a cloture vote to overcome any potential filibuster on Sunday, and the final confirmation vote sometime Monday. Barbara Ledeen, Professional Staff for the Judiciary Committee and last week’s guest on our Sentinel Strategy Call, gave us a behind the scenes look at what goes into getting conservative judges confirmed. She urged that it is absolutely vital every Republican Senator remain in Washington, D.C. until the final vote.

Grassroots Support for Amy
This week, Heritage Action mounted a targeted advocacy campaign in Alaska in order to win Senator Lisa Murkowski’s support for Barrett’s confirmation. We organized two coalition letters – one from 20 Alaska state legislators and another from 237 Alaskan grassroots activists which highlighted Judge Barrett’s originalist interpretation of the Constitution and superb qualifications to serve on the Supreme Court. Read more about our effort in The Washington Times!

It’s not just Alaskans who are voicing their support for Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation! In case you missed it in last week’s Saturday Summary, we made a compilation video of Sentinels from all over the country calling on the Senate to #ConfirmAmy. Watch the full video here.

Why Amy?
Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) joined Jessica to discuss the Supreme Court, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, and how a single vote on our highest court can change the course of our nation. You can watch the video here. The interview has already racked up over 50,000 views on Facebook!

Jessica went on The Weekly Briefing on OAN to share how Judge Amy Coney Barrett breaks through the Left's agenda on feminism and shows the American people what a strong woman truly looks like. She also writes in The Hill that, “Feminism for many decades presented a false choice to women between career and family. Yet the pending ascension of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court is evidence that women do not have to decide between a career and a family.”

Heritage Action Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator Melody Clarke writes in the Greenville Daily Reflector, “North Carolinians can take away four important things. Judge Barrett is immensely qualified…[her] judicial philosophy is exactly what we need in a Supreme Court justice…[she] does not view the Supreme Court as a political body…[and] she has a strong work ethic, a love for her country, and a deep commitment to her family and her faith.”

With ten days remaining until Election Day, the choice before Americans couldn’t be clearer: traditional American values, economic prosperity, and law and order or destroying our institutions and economy amidst violence and chaos.

As part of our Fight For America campaign, Heritage Action has had over 100 canvassers in battleground states talking to swing voters about the issues and driving conservative voter turnout. Meanwhile, our “Back the Blue” yard signs have been displayed all over the country and we recruited poll workers in 33 states. Take a look at the impact we’re making below!

Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson joined Fox & Friends this week discussing the uptick in early voting, saying, “Voters are voting at historic trends in this early voting period..and it is largely Democrats, but they are...those we would expect to vote Democrat...They’re simply front-loading voters who are ‘in the bank’.” Jessica suggested, “The voter registration trends actually give us a more full picture of what’s going on,” pointing out that President Trump and Republicans are out-registering Democrats in key swing states, and that is what could make the difference. She added that it is the job of Heritage Action to help drive up enthusiasm on the issues and encourage voters to vote for American values on November 3rd.

Following Thursday’s debate, Jessica wrote in an opinion for CNN, “President Trump was on message, composed and clear...Swing voters are likely to approve of his message on opening society, on the economy and criminal justice,” adding that overall, “Trump gave a convincing performance and stood by his record. Even after four years in Washington, he was able to remind voters he is the disrupter draining the swamp and fixing the failings of the Obama-Biden administration.”

This week, Heritage Action sponsored Blue Courage, a one-hour television event that aired on cable television and online. Host and former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens led panel discussions and one-on-one interviews about the state of law enforcement and the need for lawmakers and Americans to support law enforcement and their families.

Over 1 million people watched the program, which heavily featured our Police Pledge. You can watch the full hour-long event here! #StandWithPolice
