Let me break down why this race is so important to our cause, John:

• It is the county with the most urgent need for reform.  LA County’s prison system is the largest in the nation. Under current DA Jackie Lacey, Los Angeles County alone is responsible for one third of all incarcerated people in California. 
• It’s the county with the most potential to impact justice reform across the nation. George is determined to support and enact the critical reforms to completely transform LA County’s corrupt legal system into one that benefits and uplifts the communities of LA. 
• This race is a referendum on the strength of our movement for reform. More and more folks are pointing to this race as a test for our movement.
