Last night during the debate, it wasn’t surprising when Donald Trump still didn’t have a plan to get us out of the COVID-19 crisis. And that makes sense — because Mitch McConnell is carrying out the same agenda in the Senate, blocking relief bills, that leaders in the House like Ro pushed for, to focus on a rushed power grab in the Supreme Court.
And when Trump talked about having COVID-19, he failed to mention his superior health care he received — something millions of Americans are deprived of with our current healthcare system. It’s why Ro is fighting for Medicare for All, the only system that would guarantee quality care for all.
We need to focus on public health. We need to focus on healing as a country from this pandemic. We need to focus on helping families put food down on the table. And the only way we can do that is by having leaders like Ro who put the people first and foremost.
Last night showed how important it will be to have a Congress working to get us through this and making health care something that helps instead of hurts people during a public health crisis — and keeping Ro’s fight for these critical issues in Congress is a key part of that.
In solidarity,
Team Ro
