John,
During last night's debate, Trump couldn't answer for his administration's worst policies and failures.
He showed no compassion or concern whatsoever for the 545 children remaining separated--possibly forever--from their parents. (Of the thousands who were snatched screaming from the arms of their parents at the border due to Trump's disastrous family separation policy.)
More than 220,000 Americans have died from COVID-19, which continues to surge nationally, and the president still has no plan to control the pandemic.
He couldn't explain how he'd replace the ACA and he lied on the subject of pre-existing conditions. His position in the US Supreme Court is exactly this: He wants the Court to prevent the millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions from being able to get health insurance!
It's as clear as ever. Here's what I said to you in the summer of 2016: "Donald Trump is a con man... and he must be defeated."
Looking back on the irreversible harm he's done to our country over the past four years, Trump remains unable to muster the integrity to take responsibility or offer honest answers.
While Trump may be able to evade interrogation on the debate stage, he can't avoid answering to the rule of law. As Oregon's AG, I've taken on the administration over and over to defend everything from Oregonians' health care to our basic civil rights, to our precious environment-- and I will continue to do so through Trump's final day in office. Even after he loses, it will be a huge legal lift to undo the damage he has done.
Now, with mere days until the most important election of our lifetimes, will you stand with me and chip in $25 (or whatever you can afford) to our campaign today?
