[{EXTERNAL_URL~[link removed]}]
Crustaceans are not food or "starter pets." The limbs of these sensitive animals
who are killed for food are often torn off, and they're typically boiled alive.
Hermit crabs captured for the pet trade are imprisoned in cramped plastic boxes,
and while they can live for more than 30 years in their natural habitat, most
don't live for more than a few months after being sold as cheap trinkets.

[{CAMPAIGNPAGE_URL~38424~[link removed]}]
Despite "humane" labels and industry advertising showing "happy" animals, PETA
observers have documented widespread, systemic abuse in the meat, dairy, and egg
industries. We're determined to stop it. Your support will help us reveal more
cruelty through eyewitness exposés and end the abuse through thought-provoking
demonstrations, online campaigns, corporate negotiations, vegan food tastings,
and more!
