Hi John,

Last night’s second and final debate made one thing clear: It is time for compassionate leadership.

Too many families are being crushed by the weight of the continued COVID-19 crisis and the endless gun violence epidemic. Too many families have been forced to mourn the loss of loved ones gone too soon.

We need leaders with empathy and with the conviction to act to keep our communities healthy and safe. This week, old footage of Joe Biden comforting the families of Parkland victims resurfaced, showing that he is that kind of leader. It is a powerful and hopeful reminder of what true leadership looks like.

We know that we’ll only be able to pass the bold, effective gun safety policies we need if we elect compassionate candidates. That’s why we are working tirelessly to elect candidates up and down the ballot who understand the challenges facing our communities and who are committed to fighting with us to end the gun violence epidemic. But we know this election is going to come down to the wire, so we can’t take anything for granted. Can you give $5 to help us get out the vote the last few days of this election?

During last night’s debate, Biden laid out the stakes clearly: "What is on the ballot here is the character of this country. Decency. Honor. Respect. Treating people with dignity. Making sure that everyone has an even chance.”

Please, help us make sure we elect compassionate, courageous leaders. Lives depend on it.

Thank you,
Renée (she/her)
