John,

A dark money group is trying to undo the transparency law our members just worked to pass in New Jersey.

The group, Americans for Prosperity, is funded by the billionaire Koch brothers, and it just filed a lawsuit to stop the "End Dark Money" law from going into effect. If successful, it will keep big-money donors hidden ahead of New Jersey's upcoming elections.

New Jersey voters have a right to know who's funding their elections and influencing their politicians. Add your name now to tell the Koch brothers to drop their dark money lawsuit.

The "End Dark Money" law stops secret money, letting voters see who's trying to influence election outcomes and who a candidate might be beholden to after they're elected. The law was spearheaded by the Represent Central New Jersey chapter and passed with bipartisan support in the New Jersey legislature. But the Koch brothers' dark money group doesn't want transparency—so they're trying to undo it.

We've seen this happen before: This time last year in Michigan, the state Chamber of Commerce sued to stop voters from being able to vote on an anti-gerrymandering reform. We fought back and stopped them. In Maine, politicians tried to undo Ranked Choice Voting after it was passed by the voters. But volunteers led the campaign for a People's Veto, and the voters approved Ranked Choice Voting—for a second time—last June.

Every time our movement wins and upends the corrupt status quo, politicians and big-money interests will step in and try to stop us. But if we fight back, we can beat them.

Add your name to the petition and show the Koch brothers that the American people are outraged by their attempt to hide the truth from voters.

It's up to all of us to defend our movement's wins—and with your help, we will.
