First, Susan Collins voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh.
To thank her for her vote, Mitch McConnell said this:
Then Maine's former Republican governor Paul LePage – who called himself "Donald Trump before Donald Trump became popular" – endorsed Collins' campaign.
And this week, Mike Pence said at a rally that he needs Collins in the Senate to "work with us as we make America great again, again."
