We are excited to announce a new youth-led request for proposals, focused on mental health and remote learning. Prioritizing Mental Wellness Amidst Virtual Learning One of the Foundation's values is to put youth at the forefront of our work. To live into this value, we asked youth advisors Niamiah Jefferson, Lydia Mann, and Mealaktey Sok to take the lead in designing a rapid response grant fund. In response to the twin pandemics of COVID-19 and anti-Black structural racism, these youth leaders wanted to address two specific areas of need: mental health and virtual learning. This RFP will support creative solutions – short-term projects led by districts, schools, or community-based organizations that serve youth in the K-12 public schools and address mental health and/or remote learning for youth in vulnerable communities.
