This year, we have to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, from coast to coast -- including right here in California. The path to holding our Democratic majority in the House of Representatives runs through our state.

It's never been more crucial to have real leaders fighting for us in Congress -- committed public servants like Gil who will do whatever it takes to ensure the folks of our state have the resources they need during this pandemic.

And as we look toward our nation's economic recovery, we need to champion policies that will help -- not hurt -- the middle class. A tax system that is more equitable and makes the richest pay their fair share; accessible, quality health care for every American; excellent schools no matter your zip code; and paid family and medical leave so that no one is forced to go to work when they're sick because they can't afford to take the time off.

We can make these a reality, but only if Democrats hold the House. The most recent poll shows Gil's Republican opponent one point ahead of him. And mine shows me just two points ahead of my opponent.

I'm not just asking for me -- Gil and I both can only win if grassroots donors like you have our backs.
