1. NINE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ARE EACH ON MORE THAN 10 STATE BALLOTS

Over one thousand candidates technically declared with the FEC an intent to run for office. The states with the most presidential candidates on the ballot are Vermont and Colorado, where voters can choose from 21 options.

** 2. SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE TO VOTE ON BARRETT NOMINATION

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted on Oct. 22 on the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court. The committee voted 12-0 to advance Barrett's nomination to the full Senate. Democratic senators did not attend the vote in protest of the proceedings. The full Senate will vote on Barrett's nomination on October 26, 2020.
