Dear John,

Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, connecting with Angelenos meant hikes in Ascot Hills, hosting Coffee with your Congressman, in-person town halls, and speaking to constituents face-to-face. But this crisis has forced me to change how I meet our neighbors to maintain the health of our community.

While I've hosted telephone town halls and Facebook Live events and held virtual meetings with essential workers and community leaders, I've taken any chance I can to lend a hand to Angelenos in person.

During COVID-19, I've made over 40 stops around our district to meet with companies producing personal protective equipment (PPE), hand out nutritious meals to working families in need, inform constituents about the 2020 Census, visit COVID-19 testing sites, deliver hot food to seniors stuck at home, and more.

I'm grateful for all the community groups, organizations, and Angelenos who have stepped up - including the L.A. Unified School District, Urban Partners L.A., Koreatown Youth + Community Center, Para Los Niños, the Downtown Women's Center, the YMCA, Little Tokyo Service Center, and more. It's vital that the resources I've fought for in Congress get to our district and to those in need, and I know our community will come out stronger from this than before.
